SPECIAL NOTES TO SYA U9 - U19 SOCCER COACHES

(1) ALL U9 through U19 soccer games are to be played as scheduled so all games stay on schedule.  NO TIME is added to the game as the Referee or Adult Volunteer maintains a running game time for the game to start and end on its scheduled game ending time as listed on the age group's master schedule for the season.

(2) If the game is late in starting, the game time is automatically reduced by the total amount of the delay, and each half is reduced equally for the delay so the game ends on time as listed on the age group's master schedule for the season.

(3) When The Referee Is Missing: If the Referee does not arrive prior to the scheduled game time, the game will start at its scheduled game time, be called by each coach calling l/2 of the game, and game ends on its scheduled game ending time.

(a) IF BOTH COACHES AGREE to use an adult volunteer, this solution is also acceptable for the adult volunteer to call the entire game.

(b) Whenever the game is called by a coach or adult volunteer, the score for the game is recorded as an official game played and counts for teams’ standings.  NO GAME PROTEST OF THE OUTCOME OF THE GAME IS PERMITTED.

(c) If the game is not played because the game is missing a referee, the game is recorded as a FORFEIT, and the game is not rescheduled. Teams cannot play a scrimmage game, friendly, or practice, and must vacate the game fields.

(d) If the assigned referee arrives after the game has started, the volunteer who is calling the game turns over the game responsibility to the late-arriving referee at the next stoppage of play after establishing with Referee the time remaining, score, and any cautions and ejections issued.  The game will continue, and NOT BE RESTARTED.
