Braddock Park Turf Field Opening Ceremonies Sat., June 21 at 2:30pm
Come show your appreciation for field development!
As you are all aware, over the years, Fairfax County Park Authority has been utilitizing the $10 Bond money to install turf fields in parks around
Fairfax County. The most recent installation began with a groundbreaking ceremony at the Braddock Park facility that some of you participated in on
March 1. This field, as are all other fields in the County inventory, is allocated to all County residents. However, the significant time allocated is to your SYA programs. Opening ceremonies for these events are a critical part of the process. A large showing of children wearing SYA attire is a confirmation of the appreciation for the field development in the Centreville/Clifton areas. It also will ensure that Pat Herrity, Springfield District Supervisor, Michael Frey, Sully District Supervisor and Hal Strickland, Chairman FCPA, see SYA's support of these programs.

This is important as we continue to push for additional fields at ECL and other properties in the Centreville/Clifton areas. So please take an hour out of your upcoming Saturday, June 21 to stop by  and be a part of YOUR new Turf field's Opening Ceremonies!  For more information, please visit the SYA website at www.syasports.org or the following link at http://www.syasports.org/Files/home/braddock%20rd%20turf%20rib%20cut%20invite.pdf
