SYA Cardinal Cup 2008 Tournament Facts

ELIGIBILITY
This competitive travel level tournament is open to affiliated
competitive teams from USSF affiliated members, US Club Soccer and foreign countries.

Maximum team roster size is 18 players (5 Guests) for U13 -
U18 teams and 14 (3 Guests) players for U9 - U12 teams.

FORMAT
Elite, Premier and Champion divisions of play are offered,
for boys and girls age U10 through U19. Each team
will play a minimum of three games.

FIELDS
The SYA CArdinal Cup limits the number of teams to ensure all games are held on quality fields.
Tournament games will be held at the area's top soccer fields including
new turf fields at EC Lawerence, Patriot Park, Poplar Park and South Run Park.
ENTRY FEES
U09 Festival Entry Fee: $275
U10 - U12  Entry Fee: $475
U13 - U19  Entry Fee: $525

AWARDS
Awards will be given to first and second place team
members and coach.  Limited Edition Tees to Champions.

SANCTIONING
This tournament is sanctioned by USYSA.

DOCUMENTATION
At check in, each team will need to provide the
following documentation, depending on the team’s
affiliation:
• Tournament Roster (3 copies)
• USYSA 2008-2009 Roster
• Player Registration Cards
• Medical Releases
Out-of-state teams will also need to provide
Permission to Travel and State Travel Roster forms.
Foreign teams may be subject to additional USSF
documentation requirements.

DEADLINES
Registrations and fees must be received by July
10th, 2008.
Teams entering after this date will be placed on a
waiting list and notified via e-mail of their
status and acceptance. Any team not accepted
to the tournament will receive a full refund.

REGISTER NOW/PAY LATER
Early registration helps promote the tournament and
helps to attract more teams from out-of-state. By
registering early, you are actually improving the
level of competition for all teams involved in the
tournament.

Register now and your payments are not due until
July 10th, 2008. Out-of-state teams may receive
early acceptance.

Divisions:

Elite Division is top flight: <br>State Cup Champions, Premier Tournament Participants, US Club & International Teams, NCSL/WAGS Div 1-2

Premier is second division: <br>NCSL/WAGS Div 3-4, State Cup Contenders, ODSL Div 1

Champions is third division: <br>NCSL/WAGS Div 5-6, ODSL Div 2-6

 Division structures will depend on level of team registrations.
