 Please check on the field status if there has been rain in the past 48 hours. Field closures are generally announced at 3:30 pm each day. Don't delay in registering!   Fees increase starting on July 2, with a second fee increase starting on Aug. 1.  Players registering on or after Aug. 1 will be wait listed and will be placed only if space is available.

SYA teams in STATE CUP PLAY

Congratulations to the U14 Freedom who won their state cup final eight match 2-1 and advance to the Virginia Youth Soccer Association(VYSA) Final Four to be held May 17&18 in Va Beach. Coaches Dean McAlpin,Heather Scott-Moleda and the girls will be shooting for another State Cup championship. The u14 NOVA lost a heart breaker, 2-3 OT. The game went into overtime and then penalty kicks. The boys and coaches, Gonzalo Abrigo and Richard White should be very proud of their performance.    

In the Virginia Youth Soccer Association state cup playoffs the following teams were entered from SYA:

U14 SYA Freedom, U13 SYA Arsenal, U12 SYA Swifts all girls teams;  U14 SYA Nova, U13 SYA Vipers both boys teams. All teams have represented the club well.

The U14 Freedom and U14 Nova are in the final eight and will play this weekend to advance to the Final Four. Play well, play with proper self-control, play hard and play with confidence.   

  

Recreational School of Excellence u9-u14(SOE) and U8 Development Academy Update

Recreational School of Excellence - The following is the revised schedule for the Recreational School of Excellence ( as of 5/6/08, 3pm). Please take note of field, times, dates.  

Field - EC Lawrence # 2 ( turf field). 

Dates: Monday May 5,12,19, June 2. We are sorry for any miscommunication that occured on the May 5 training. 

Time: 5:15pm-6:45pm. Both boys and girls. 

U8 Academy

Field -- ECL#2.
Time for the girls: 5:10-6:10
Time for the Boys: 6:15-7:15
Regular training dates for U8 Academy: May 5,12,19


Here are our make up dates for U8 Academy:
Saturday, May 10th, 4:30pm - 5:30pm
Sunday; May 18th,    6pm-7pm
